I'm from the school of "Form Follows Function....", and some bikes being "rolling art", "aesthetic tools" etc., so I would ride every bike I own!! I try and do that now, but the weather sometimes conspires against me!
I do have some bikes which are more "special" than others, and some which are so delightful to behold, that I would not be happy if something truly nasty were to happen to them, BUT, I can't imagine having one and not riding it.
Does anyone know a framebuilder who made a frame with the expressed intent of having it never ridden?
I suspect however, there may come a day when I may want to "retire" a few!!
