Hi Gang,

While I am certainly capable of being crude on occasion in front of mixed company (a fact of which I am not particularly proud), Ken's "M" word just caught me off-guard. I was amid a peaceful moment, finally reading through more of the great posts of what I have always considered the most well-written, fascinating and intelligent discussion group around.

I didn't react too well to Ken's message, but I figured I should probably get outta the kitchen if I couldn't stand a little heat. But really I'm not going anywhere. I love it so much here and I'm learning gobs of great stuff. Hence, I simply second Dale's vote to be genteel when ya can.

Now to my question: How horrible is it to operate one's bike with a 6-speed freewheel/dished wheel when the frame has been designed to fit a 5-speed?

Paulie Davis In awesomely warm Los Angeles (no wonder so many people move here...)
