Thanks to all for the AO-8, UO-8 info and the Ideale saddle info responses. The hide is almost all worn off my old 2001 so I'm gonna be looking around for another or preferably a 2002. Got another question. My first lightweight 10 speed was a French bike (don't remember the brand) bought new in 1966 from the bike shop in Park Ridge NJ owned and run by Walter Grotz (think he was a track racer at the time). Any how, the bike had Altenberger side pull brakes, Simplex delrin derailleurs, Normandy hubs (I think) with solid axles, cottered steel cranks (did Stronglight make cottered steel cranks back then?). The rims were alloy and nice. They had a decal of the Italian tricolor flag on them. Can anyone tell me what manufacture those rims were? Sorry but all I remember about them is that Italian flag decal. Sorry to bore ya, but some things ya just gotta know! Thanks.
