I find this thread very interesting. Someday I hope to purchase an Hetchins frame and any information which might help me avoid a fake I find invaluable. Until I started reading this newsgroup the thought of a counterfeit classic frame never came to my mind. Also compared to the "BOX controversy" this is stimulating reading indeed. The above is my opinion only and I do not begrudge Mr. Schmidt his opinions.
