But isn't the risk of crashing and doing irrepairable damage to the frame the biggest reason people hesitate to ride their old bikes? I hope it's not just about the dollar value. I'm having second thoughts about this whole thing, maybe there would be conditions where I might not ride a bike. I guess it depends what you're comfortable with. My first impulse is: ride it, but be careful !!
