It would obviously be easier to build up the left pedal than to lower the right one. I actually modified (raised) a left Suntour Sprint for the same friend a couple of years ago. But we both like lower better than higher, and I think this choice actually has the consequence of effectively raising or lowering the bottom bracket. Plus a left pedal built up enough to maximize the benefit of all this would be tall and tippy. When we say the TA is adjustable, we mean upward, don't we?

Thanks for all tips so far. Sorry for the non-classic thread. Maybe I can get my friend to meet me in Greensboro May 6 and bring his no-longer-unbuilt '92 Torelli Countach featuring the results of all this.
