Hi All,
I picked up an old Wienman concave rim from a bike shop today, 36 hole of
course. The shop owner didn't know what it was, except that it was "an old
36".
I noticed that the rim has virtually no "hook" to it and in the dim
recesses of my middle aged brain, I seem to remember that there may be a
problem with mounting certain tires on non hooked rims, but I can't quite
remember specifics. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
I plan to build it up with 3x spoke patern on a flip flop hub for a fixer
and run 25 or 28 mm wire bead tires.
Thanks,
