Eric, Because GS and record pedals have so many differences and the pairs that you have are so similar, I strongly suspect that you have two sets of Records. While I don't know about ealrier G.S.,the later ones were clearly maked gran sport. As for the deletion of the loop, I think it happened around the same time as other revisions that were made to comply with CPSC regs, and I suspect it was part of those changes. I think this was in 1977, but I will check Chuck's timeline on that.
