Two brands I can think of were Motobecane (anodized aluminum) and Peugeot (three main tubes carbon, but different from the Vitus model in that the carbon tubes were larger diameter than those on the Vitus). The Peugeot's carbon tubes were mated to aluminum alloy sleeves that were then inserted into the aluminum lugs. >> Univega, a brand created by Ben Lawee, had their BERTONI brand's Superleggera, in the heyday of the Marque, about 1987. The Bertoni's top models were made in the corse Reparto section of bianchi's factory. At the same time, the top Univega models were produced by one of the leading Japanese makers of all time, Miyata (MIKI Industries were reportedly the maker of the frames)

Sitting around our warehouses awaiting the building of a new building to be designated as a history section, are examples of the entire history of these Univega and Bertoni models, along with an interesting and in-depth display of the Puch and Austro Daimler models of a few years before.
