So when were the binda-style releases invented? I have a photo of 1913 and 1914 Tour winner Philippe Thys in which it appears the quick release style is on his bike, but its not close enough to entirely convince me....and then I have a photo of 1927 and 1928 Tour winner Nicholas Frantz in which there are clearly binda-style releases on the straps....
