Dear Troy,

I have a few questions about your '37 Claude Butler:

What is the screw below the oil spout? A drain for contaminants?

Are the shifter parts brass? They look rather yellow.

The shifter cable doesn't look like wound wire. What is the material?

What materila is used for the red, white, and blue bands on the pump... perhaps rubber of plasic? Ditto for the 2 green bands on the pump handle?

Is that a grease fitting just visible behind the chain tension pulley?

Could you please provide any info about the cable straps and cage clamp (black rubber?)?

Thanks for any information... It's a very beautiful bike, with an intriguing collection of details!

Aldo Ross
