Just a few thoughts on track drop-outs.......

With the rear facing drop-out there's not really any chance for the wheel to come out/off, even though it could pull over. It's still safer to be attached Also I'm sure it's safer with no forward facing 'hook' of metal. That's another reason, besides clearance, that track pedals had no 'quill'. Clive in Oz Ps I seem to be behind the topic eight ball sometimes, but I'm sure it's taking a while to get these bulletins 'Down-under'. (that's my excuse any way).
