Hi all, Just the quick facts: age: 41 bikes: - '71 Raleigh International, recently aquired, well worn, and converted to fixed gear (brown) - '74 Raleigh International. purchased last March, and essentially New In Box. A beautiful bike, made even more wonderful by being lightly clearcoated by Mr. Baylis. - '82 Olmo Competition, with more pantographing than should be legal. Also has "Mexico" treatment on the Campy NR cranks - '89 (?) Specialized Sirrus. Nothing special, but it does have a lugged frame. - '89 fillet brazed custom frame by Gordon Borthwick. Gordon is based in Iowa, and is best known for his tandems. Very nice guy, does good work, well recommended, etc. - and, in the very near future, I'll be getting a frame built by Rich Powers in the Chicago area. Most notably, it'll feature S&S couplers. Dropouts are Henry James, and the lugs are some semi-ornate ones (Rich sent me a jpg... the upper head lug has a part number LT205R). I'm still mulling over the color. A medium dark green with contrasting cream/ivory head tube is the plan so far. Can anyone recommend specific PPG colors that'll look good? I'm tempted to just copy a Rivendell, but that would be cheating. - other trivia: 3 Brooks saddles on the bikes, and 6 spares in the closet (good heavens!)
