I have often wondered what happened to Nobilette as well. In the late seventies / early eighties a few of our club racers were on his bike, including our two or three time club champion. I was able to visit the shop in Ann Arbor a couple of times - a little hole in the wall / basement type thing to be honest. He always had a couple of Eisentraut frames on display as well as an Assenmacher or two. I was under the impression that he apprenticed with one or both of those guys. I also heard that Mark was still building - but out west somewhere. The frames I saw were very "clean", although the one our club champ had was the most hideous pea green color one could imagine! BTW, anyone know what happened to Assenmacher? Cheers, Richard Rose (Toledo, Ohio) Oh yeah, almost forgot. My LBS has a Nobilette tandem hanging in his shop. Fillet brazed though - just doesn't look right without those really thin lugs.
