Hi gang:

Mark is indeed alive and well in Colorado. He studied originally with Albert Eisentraut (don't know how long or when.) He had/has offered an "A" level or "B" level frame.. he may not call them that exactly but the result was the same. Nowadays he does all the new stuff TIG welding too, but still is happy to make a custom lugged bike. He also is making Tigged frames & forks for a few mail order Colorado outfits.

I met him at a VeloSwap a few years back, and had a longish conversation this past year about "How to Eke Out a Living Making Bike Frames", a discussion I frequently have with USA framebuilders! He is a very nice fellow and has a very artistic eye...something that cannot be said for all builders. His Model A is a great example of this as it has really neat and unusual lug shaping & cutouts and seat stay attachment design. His joinery skills are top level, super clean and refined. His decals are even very pleasing to my eye.. very classy & traditional..

I have bits and pieces of photos and info on Mark that are in the que waiting to be published in the CR. (Along with a bunch of others!!!) I will announce it to the group when I get them "up."
