As I recall, the MASI my friend had back in '73, which was Itallian, had the signature near the back of the top-tube. Also, the band on your seat-tube is higher than I remember, and weren't there two of those? There's a pair of books, about 12" x 18" x 1/2" thick, called "Two Wheel Travel, Bicycle Camping and Touring", I think (mine is in storage). In the one with the yellow cover, there is a nice set of black & white photographs of an Itallian Masi. I'm sure, if you can locate a copy of this book, that those photo's are accurate depictions of a genuine early 70's Masi. Somewhere I also have an original Masi brochure too.

Lots of luck "Bicycle Mark" Perkins
