I have used PPG, Ditzler, Radiance II, acrylic urethane, for an outstanding, and durable, candy-red over metallic silver paint job, on my Mom's Schwinn cruiser. I'm sure this stuff could be mixed, by a pro, to match the correct Legnano color, as long as there's some un-faded original color, perhaps on the steerer tube, to compare with as he/she mixes. When I used this paint, about 8-years ago, you could get a very fine, and a medium metallic silver base coats, and the same in gold base coats. I know there was a gold (yellow), and a couple of green tints, and with a little mixing tallent, I'm sure the proper shade could be had.

No, I don't have any connection to the company, or anyone who sells it. And I don't even know, for sure, that this stuff is still available. I just found it to be a good product, and thought I would pass it on to the group. If I were planning to restore one of these Legnano's, that's the stuff I would try to have mixed for the job.
