I know some of you guys are interested in french stuff. My wife's ride-share partner asked her if I could mention this bike to the list. It is a late-70s to early-80s Motobecane Super Mirage. This is a Hi-Ten steel lugged French-made frame with a mix of Japanese and French parts. Has the molded plastic handlebar cover that looks like leather. Wienmann concave non-ferruled rims on Normandy hubs, new 27 x 1 1/8" tires, Suntour VGT and Compe V derailleurs and stem-mounted powershifters. Weinmann Vanqueur 999/610 brakes. 14-32 5-speed freewheel and 40/52 SR (marked Motobecane) crankset. Black and red color with lugs outlined in gold, 21" seat tube, 21 1/2" top tube. Excellent condition//low miles except top tube has a bunch of chips from someone swinging their foot over possibly. I don't know what this is worth. $100 plus shipping?
Regards
Bob Freeman
