I remember the article / review Bicycle Guide or Bicyclist had on a set of wooden rims a few years ago. Just checked my archives, didn't have it... :<(

My guesses would go like this (David Letterman style):

1. Nashbar doesn't have them on closeout special anymore

2. Can't find those Campionato del Mondo setas at the LBS

3. "36 spokes? Won't fit my hubs!"

4. Wood rims in Seattle, San Francisco, Maine, etc aren't a good idea...

5. Newest tubular glue eats wood...

6. Too busy searching for MA2's

7. Jobst Brandt would scoff at you on rec.bicycles.tech

8. Dual pivot Dura Ace brakes make splinters, however Campy dual pivots don't.

9. What color tires would look good with Mahogany?
