Thanks to the recent discussion regarding date of introduction of Campag. Record ft. and rear ders., I have been able to accurately date one of my Masi Specials. I thought it was 1962 because it was originally given as a gift to someone in 1963. It has a first generation Record front der. and a steel Gran Sport rear der. I wasn't quite sure if the gran sport was original and correct. If the bike is 1961 or '62, then it can't and shouldn't have a Record rear der.; everything fits then! I am now completely confident that every part on this bike is original and correct (expect for the tires and handlebar tape) which is a good thing to know. Thanks to you guys who have a knack for research, I who don't have time can still benifit. Love this list!
