On the subject of nice crisp lugs: anyone know anything about Spicer frames?

When I was a sophomore in college I sent for the new '78 Bikecology catalog. The frame section in the back included ads for a few American builders, and the one that caught my eye was Spicer. I think it's just one small photo of a lower headlug (the ones with the single small curlicue like Colnago used to use) and a flat crown - but I've never forgotten the uncommon crisp look of those lugs.

Brad Stockwell Palo Alto (cold, but it's a DRY cold)

P.S. Astride my '82 Trek 950 5-speed I just rode a 40-mile loop from my house to Cupertino Bikeshop and back. Got in a paceline for the last 7 miles and was hitting 175 bpm while DRAFTING (my nominal maximum is 178). The guy at the front was one of those wiry guys with skinny legs where you ask yourself, geez, where's all that force coming from?

Here are some pictures of some of my lovelies. Thanks to Mike Cone, I have a 1960's Wally Green which will show up on an album soon.
