Subject: [CR]old tubular repair.

Hi everyone. I recently opened a package of old tubulars (Clement del Mondo) which had been sitting around for a while. One of them is fine; the other has a tear in the tread. The tire holds air, but the tear seems to go to the casing (right term?) and will almost certainly widen and/or deepen if I ride the tire. I would really like to fix it since in all other respects the tire is in great condition, del Mondos are rare, I paid a hefty price for it, etc. Can it be fixed, and if so, how? Thanks in advance for any help. Jon

ps Can anyone point me to a book, web site, etc. which steps thru the process of fixing a tubie?
