Hi Lawrence,

The Valentino derailleur puts in the category of low-end bikes. Is the derailleur clamp-on, or is there a hanger? "Valentino Super" first appeared in the 1967 catelog #15, the "Valentino" first appeared around 1964.

The correct spelling for the brakes is "Balilla". They were pretty nice in the 50s and early 60s, but became increasingly cheap through 1960s, into the bike boom years.

The push-rod front derailleur could be "Gran Sport" from the 1950s, or part of the "Valentino" set from the 60s and 70s. few of the parts are interchangeable between the two, so it's easy to identify which it is. Is he bolt to attach the chain carrier on top, or on the front?

Ambrosio stems became TTT sometime in the mid 1960s.

Pictures of the fork crown, seat cluster, and rear brake bridge will help id year and quality.

Hope this helps.

Aldo Ross
