Subject: [CR]Funky Campagnolo shifters ...

Fellow Classicists,

This may be later than we normally discuss, but I recently picked up a strange set of Campagnolo shifters while in the process of buying out an area shop's stock of downtube levers.

The braze-on shifters in question have the shield logo with wings; an angular shape; and the right/rear shifter is wider than the left, and has a smaller lever on the outside of it. They're shopworn, but are still fitted to bluish-purple plastic discs (that also have the same logo). Mike at the shop believed they were new, unsold stuff from years back, and said he thought they were early C-Record. Anybody familiar with these?

Thanks,
Russ Fitzgerald
