To the collective expertise of the list: On Wednesday, Jason had a front and rear 980 derailleur set for sale. My question is multi-part: What is a 980? (Chuck's Timeline introduces the rear in 1982, and I infer that 980 was a time designator for Sept. of '80?) Was the 980 part of a group? If not, what would the appropriate brakeset be with the 980s?
