The Romans had the phrase for eBay - "caveat emptor" - prophetic fellows, those Romans. I've had generally good luck with eBay, but I look for bargains, don't get caught up in bidding wars, make sure I get photos and that I recognize the item. If I have some doubt about the identity or condition of an item, I only buy it if it is cheap. As a rusult, I've occasionally received stuff that was not the bargain I hoped, but usually still worth close to what I paid.

Jerry Moos
