Aldo, At one time, and I think still, the driver uniforms and the dernys used in the World Championships were owned by the UCI. There were even rules about underwear. Riders tried to find the biggest guys they could find who could fit into the uniforms to increase the draft. When the Japanese started competing, the uniforms were so large on them that the suspenders had to be pulled up to their necks. It made for some humorous pictures. Ken Wallace
