Time to give the results of "what's wrong with this Coppi picture".
I'm happy to announce I received literally DOZENS of responses. How did you do??? Score your responses... here's how they measured-up:
The bike has no left/rear brake lever... 71% had this correct
The bike should be celeste, not orange... 62% caught this one
The "Bianchi" jersey shouldn't be orange... 33% were correct
There's a front derailleur lever, but no front derailleur... 10% caught this
Coppi's orange jersey would say "Pellegrino", not "Bianchi". Not entirely correct, since Coppi died before he was ever able to race in the Pellegrino jersey, but at least you were paying attention to Alex Clark's "Vintage Velos" website... 10%
There's a clamp on the fork for a 1920s-style brake... 10% mentioned this obscure item
Coppi would have a pointed collar on his jersey... 5% had this one
Coppi would have had front pockets on his jersey... the same 5% caught this as caught the collar problem
Coppi is shown with no opening at all in his jersey... no one mentioned it as such... 0%
The Olympic rings appear in the upper right corner... Coppi never rode the Olympics, so what's their relevance? 0%
I wonder how many of Coppi's races ended with a chequered flag!? 0%
The one I was REALLY hoping for... Coppi's bike should have bulged chrome-plated headlugs for the integral headset. 0% caught this! :::sigh:::
The big prize goes to Tom Adams (KCTOMMY) for catching the color problems, brake lever, and missing collar and front pockets. Our winner can choose between receiving the very very used CLB brakeset, or not!
