Dia-Compe (Japan) had a license agreement to manufacture copies of Weinmann (Switzerland) product. >>

The common bike shop situation when I was starting out was installation of the popular "Safety" levers by DiaCompe on a Weinmann host brake lever. (Making kinda an Italian Swiss Colony Sake?) Weinmann made their own version of the "Safety" lever but it was not as easy to retrofit and wasn't as available in the marketplace as an add-on....

{I was going to add humor (?) by saying I really liked the added safety and convenience, not to mention stopping power, of those Safety levers... but I don't want to get all of you in an uproar again!!!}
