In the light of recent scraps I've got some luck here.
I mentioned a while ago I was looking for some information on a Carlton bike I'd recently acquired, on the grounds that it had some local personal interest for me. Quite by accident last night I spotted an identical bike with a name in script on the top tube.
It now appears the bike I am trying to trace is a Carlton Corsair. I checked the Oro pages and found the Huffy-Carlton Corsair from the 60s. However the componentry is significantly different.
A month ago I posed my question to Robert Iredale as recommended, but he hasn't got back to me yet, so I thought I'd try and trigger some vague memories.
Serial numbers are WA 000 7 80 and RO21 3LH
Can anyone give evidence of a manufactured date?
