To all Peugeot PX10 enthusiasts.
In 1970 I purchased a brand new PX10 for $250 Cdn and not being familiar at
that time with dimensions, angles etc., I took the word of the sales staff
that it had a 22" frame. I was tempted later on to trade-up to something
Italian with Campi N.R. and never did record the PX 10 stats. I found the
PX10 very comfortable to ride especially over rough road with those
wonderfully springy 531 forks. In Sloans original book is an illustration of
the exact same size of bike that he describes as a top line quality racing
bike. According to a Peugeot PX10 web site, they list a 21", 23" and I think
a 25" but no 22".
My question is... Did the PX 10 come in a 22" frame size c to top and if so
what were the top tube dimensions, angles and wheelbase length?
Even though my subsequent bikes have been better finished, more responsive
to ride and considerably more expensive, none have had that forgiving
quality over the cobbles.
