Definitely late 70's. The rear derailleur is the SLJ500T as opposed to the slighly modified SLJ5500T. Also the front derailleur is the older style SLJ that requires the piece of cable housing as opposed to the slightly later "A" version that was usable with a bare cable. As I recall (recollection seems to be as good as a catalog reference with the French), these modifications came right around 1980. Also, about that time, a bike with the top French kit would probably get Mafac 2000's as opposed to the Competitions, but then again, what is the real difference between those models anyway? -Steve Spielman (Maryland)
