An old story,

Grant Hadley of the former Planetary Bike in the Bay SF area was showing off the fine points of a Rene Herse in his shop when a fellow said so what. There is one just like that in a dumpster nearby.

So it was; Grant retrieved it and well, he could have imported them in massive quanites and marked them up to sell to vintage collectors like that rogue Mike Kone or he could have kept it for himself.

Or he could have found it a good home. Best answer.

BTW Mike Kone is not a rogue.

Story was from the source.

<< Ray,

David doesn't actually find the stuff himself. A friend of his does. Dave taught him what he knows about bikes and stuff and suddenly he's comming up with these things. He doesn't have any interest in them for himself, other than the $20 that may soon turn into $5,000. I'm not saying that it's wrong either (he a luckey dude), just that it makes me sad.
