Group-- My wife refers to my 70's Hetchins curly with chrome magnum opus lugs as "the brothel bike"-- (she may be right ) However, it is the only one of the bunch that she can identify as being any different than the others! I also might comment that even with a built in lack of sensitivity in these areas, the way the bike rides is delightful-- the way I describe it is "like riding on butter" --- the curleys do work! Cheers-- Nelson

Cycling in the London area in the mid to late 50¹s, I would marvel at the curly stayed Hetchins that just blew by me and would bust a gut to catch up for a closer look. Viewing them today on CR and the Hetchins site, you would have to say that the Magnum Bonum top of the line models were rather outlandish. I wonder if Jack Denny got his inspiration from the wrought iron gates at Buckingham Palace? Imagine a gloss black Hetchins curly with gold leaf Magnum Bonum lugs! Before any of you Hetchins fans jump on me, It would be worth mortgaging the house to buy one.
