I remember browsing a book at my hometown Library in the mid 70's about custom bikes. It had many photos of painted lug work seems to me probably English builders styles. Could not find it the last couple of times I visited, it was probably discarded but these books do exist. Strange that my small blue collar town would have such a book, there was no cycling interest and the closest shops with high end bikes were 20 miles away(Marholin Lane a furniture upstairs, bike shop down stairs). Maybe our English counterparts can track down some english titles for custom bike books?
