All,

Ebay auction #1122420477 is for an NOS Ideale 90 saddle. The bid history shows four bids; my initial bid of $75.00 and only three other bids -- all by Ichiy. My bid did not contain any proxy amount, it was a flat $75.00. Mine was the first bid and all subsequent bids were by Ichiy. There was no 'buy it now' provision, indeed the auction is ongoing. There are no other bidders listed except Ichiy and Masigc3v (me). Can any explain to me how (or why) Ichiy could bid himself up?

I am not accusing any one of anything here. Believe me there are no sour grapes involved -- I do not begrudge Ichiy his saddle or the seller his profit. Frankly, I don't need that saddle that badly and can't justify going anywhere near 175.00 for that saddle. There are more saddles and I'll keep my old ones for now.

I am concerned that there is some quirk in the system that runs up bids artificially. As best I can surmise Ichiy bid against himself.

If I have completely missed something please set me straight. What the heck is going on here?

Regards,

Carlo Carr (Have suffered cranial-colonic inversion, but think I'm heads-up this time)
