I've had no direct experience with Campy's FW, but given the prices those things command, particularly in desirable ratios, I wouldn't buy one to use. What's the benefit? They are quite light, but with a huge tradeoff in durability. No, in my opinion the virtues of a Campy freewheel are best enjoyed by keping it pristine and fondling it while watching Tour videos. At most I would stick it on a period-correct bike to enhance the gee-whiz factor, but switch over to a steel Regina, Suntour etc. for actual riding. A couple thousand miles of riding, and that beauty will be pretty trashed.

The question is, did this item ever see use by professional riders when it was current? I would bet that it was not considered servicable in that environment where cogs and chains must all be relatively new so that they can be interchanged without concerns over proper meshing.
