Dear fellow cycling enthusiasts,

I apologize for my breach of etiquette in these discussion forums. I did not intentionally violate the rules, and appreciate having said violations brought to my attention. Those violations, specifically, are cross posting, not signing my full name, and posting a for sale notice a second time. I hope to address these deficiencies below.

First, I hope I am not in further violation by cross posting again, but since the rules reminder note was to and cross-posted to the classicrendezvous and internet-bob bikelists I simply replied to all.

Secondly, as to signing my full name to my message, I am Frank Phillips and I live in Oklahoma. I have been cycling seriously for about 15 years, and remain partial to lugged, steel bicycles. The two bicycles I have most regretted selling were a Stephen Roche Batagglin and a Bertoni Master SLX. Both were beautifully built, lugged steel frames that were very pretty and were a joy to ride. I currently ride a Look KG 243 and, while it is a current model year bike, it still has the steel frame and fork and nice lug work that I associate with the more recent classic bicycles.

Finally, as to my posting of a Reynolds 531 frame and fork for sale, I initially had the frame and fork on eBay and it didn't sell. I thought these cycling forums would be more likely to match this bike with a prospective future owner. Judging from the e-mails I have received this evening from bikelist members, it may indeed find a good home. I have followed these bikelists as a subscriber for quite some time, so I did not join and immediately post items for sale. Rest assured, this frame and fork will not be listed again on these bikelists.

In closing, I appreciate the reminder of the forum rules and guidelines. I will certainly abide by them in the future, as I enjoy following the many postings provided by classicrendezvous and internet-bob members. I guess this also means I won't be posting to this bikelist the chain letter about a RAF officer who didn't forward a chain letter and was shot down and killed the next day ;-)
