For me, C-Record respresents the hard times which from which Campagnolo has recovered. Most of C-Record is too modern to be vintage or classic. Today, it's another obsolete downtube-shifting group. It tried to look sleek but came out rather thick. Form at the sake of function. The best part was the improved seatpost adjustment bolt. Seen too many C-Record Pista hubs, still in production, what folks call the "sheriff's star," with cracked flanges, not only at the nipple holes, but also where the cutout flange leaves too little alloy for durability. C-Record is the level ground that makes early Super Record vintage pinnacle. Why not just settle for 50th anniversary?
