We are currently at about 400 CR list members. I am frequently getting easily 100 CR related messages a day, including those additional notices of, for instance, posts which are from mail boxes that are full, people using non-member source addresses, administrative requests, etc.
Now, we have a rule that states No Off-topic Posts.. I have a certain amount of sympathy, personally, with the plight of the UK tourist market...... and with that big benefit ride in New Jersey...... and, for that matter, with unemployed Disney workers....... and the union members who have their union dues spent to support political candidates who they personally do not support.. And hundreds of other issues! But NONE of those messages have a place on this list.
I am feeling déjà vu, but I must say that if all of us decided to deviate from this list's stated purpose and send off-topic messages that we personally are interested in, we would have a helluva mess. We already have an almost untenable situation in the large number of daily CR messages. People are quitting daily due to the sheer volume and many are no longer reading many of the messages..
Bruce, by self admission in this topic line, you have intentionally sent all 400+ of us a message that is self serving and off topic. By that act and my having to read your message & having to compose this response message, you have stolen/ripped off/misappropriated about 10 minutes + of my day (which is already packed with urgent elements!) I resent that deeply and I should boot you from the CR list right now.... but I am restraining myself.
I hereby am letting you and everyone else know that from this point onward, I will not let sentiment stand in my way. Please take heed.
