[CR]warning! a brief discussion of shoes!

Hi gang, A gent on the Touring list just informed me of a rather classic/retro shoe from Carnac. The model is the "Carlit", and the suggested vendor is Deeside Cycles in the U.K. You can see it at: http://www.deesidecycles.com/shoes.htm It appears to be similar to the Sidi that Riv sells.... basic black with laces and a small heel. My question: does anyone have any experience with these? I'm wondering what sort of cleat it might have. Also, does anyone in the U.S. sell these?
