If the mountain road becomes a mountain stream, perhaps the luckier of the two. On dry pavement, certainly the best rider.

A rock solid, non compliant, non suspended bicycle would not be my first choice on such a descent, but it occurs to me that the type of frame material probably was not the cause of the many crashes on that stage.
