Subject: [CR]Washington D.C. Area Bike Swap-Report

Hello CR list, List member Harvey Sachs and his wife Sue organized, advertised and orchestrated a local benefit swap for Washington(DC)Area Bicycle Association-( W.A.B.A.). and Pedals for Progress.15 % of the sales price went to the 2 local non-profits.List member Larry Osborne drove in from 4 hours away in West VA. to help stimulate sales of the vintage parts.List member Tom Wittkop was spotted at the swap and Wayne Bingham's "early bird catches the worm" was there with cash in hand. The number of vintage parts was very small in relation to all the bicycles and parts at the swap.I bought a set of mis-matched Campagnola Record tubulars and found a Regina 5 speed freewheel(Thanks Harvey) to complete the 1970 Colnago Super project Wayne Bingham did for me.Wayne scored a brand new vintage Campagnola Aero water bottle and cage along with two boxes of Japanese parts and 2 wheelsets and several open "C" Campagnola straight skewers. At $182.00(e-Bay price) each I'd say Wayne had a bang up day at this swap.TED what's the story with the OPEN "C" Campagnola skewers?Yours truly,Martin Walsh in Vienna,VA. P.S. I'm psyched for the May 5-6th "Cirque"!
