Below is from the seller. I'm not bidding because of my move. Good luck to someone. I also have several closeup pictures that the seller sent to me if someone is interested--email off-list and I'll forward them to you. Lou Deeter

Hello Lou

Here's a little more info on the Masi.

I just spoke with the original owner of my Masi Prestige, my friend Jeff Bumby.

It is an Italian-built (not California) and signed by Alberto Masi himself and Jeff bought it in the late 1970's from a shop in Denver. Having many bikes in his stable, he said there were less than 1000 miles on it when he sold it to me in about 1982 or 83. My wife never rode the bike so this bike is essentially brand new.

I did put a different large chainring on it for my wife (a Campy Record 47). Other than that, the bike is full SR as defined at the time. This means, among other things, a lot of titanium in place of steel. I'm not certain why the front derailleur looks the same as a Record unless that is the way it was in the late 70's (I cannot remember changing the derailleur and it wouldn't make sense for me to do so).

The tubing is Reynolds, very likely 531 (altho somebody recently told me the Prestige was 753).
