In polite response to Jim Cunninghams points ;
- I thought what was under discussion was a Juy-53 derailleur, not a 52 ? or
25 ? It's only a number I know, but the then again it's only a derailleur -
a $1225 one at that.

- I feel nothing but sympathy for someone who was so clearly mistaken in
their belief that they were buying a rare component.

- The Juy-53 was provided as band-on as shown with the one for sale but
there was also an alternative "Fixation a braser" Braze-on and also a
conversion kit for turning your existing Simplex standard lever into a twin
right-hand lever and for also a clip on double pulley for "bare-wire"
control. Neither of which was unique as it survived unchanged at least until
the advent of the Juy-56

- Just what is the record then ? Oh and it's quite clear to me the reasons
why you should take this position.

As I personally do not consider these derailleurs rare nor agree that they
are worth anything like $1225 I would politely suggest Jim, that if you need
five sets and can easily sell each for $600 it would be well worth you
exploring rather than me wasting my time on what was only an opinion.
