I'd have to say the Mavic SSC group from the late-70s and 1980s would be the ultimate sleeper pro parts in my experience. They usually just sit at the local swap meets here in Southern California, and go for next to nothing. Fun to take apart with the circlips® and sealed bearings everywhere!
