Well, it could be a lot of things, but first you want to make sure it's really Italian. Check the BB cups and if they say 36x24 you at least have a italian threaded BB. Look really close at the top of the fork crown, seatsaty caps, and the rear brake bridge for any other markings. Sometimes seatpost size can tell you the maker, thought I'm not the expert on that. If there are diamonds on the seattube and not on the down tube that says one of two things to me neither good. One is someone "crushed" the bos in the stand and had to replace them, and the other is they were put on after the factory.
