Wow. I wonder if some disgruntled employee filled it with brass just to see if he could get it past The Big Guy? I would think the caps were outsourced, not made in-house one letter at a time, but who knows?
My own DeRosa is an '84, all SR, 58cm one which was sold to a friend of a
friend, crashed badly and traded back to me in exchange for a rebuild on a
Mavic Helium. It'll be getting a top and downtube replacement eventually. A
nicely built and wonderful riding bike in Ugo blue that will roll again
someday.
