While Flandria did make some serious high-end bikes, and had an important racing program, very few of the good ones ever made it to the U.S.
Almost all of the Flandrias (or, as we used to call them when I sold them at the Bicycle Revival in Cambridge, Mass) were the lowest sort of bike-boom sellers'-market junk. If yours has steel rims, CLB Racer brakes and cottered cranks, it's one of those. Some were made in Belgium, others in Portugal. The Belgian ones were garbage, the Portugese ones were worse.
