Subject: [CR]Search strategies on eBay, re my Bill Boston

Several CR listmembers have suggested to me that their searches didn't show my listing: that made me realize that I must use a different search strategy than others do.

When I search for an item, I always ask for a search of the item description as well as the title. A search of the description would have picked up several key words--Bill Boston, Campagnolo, T.A., Henry James, Gran Sport, to name a few.

I'm aware that some sellers throw in catch words just to get people to look, but that always struck me as a little cheesy. I think the issue is that there is just a small market for bikes at the extreme ends of the range. But the last time I checked, over 300 people had looked at the ad.

By the way, I've had 10 messages today from CR members, so I know the interest is there, and I do appreciate your suggestions. Dale has asked me to post more detailed pix of the Bill to the CR Boston page. I'll do so soon, along with pix of the Rene Herse for which I'm trying to sell my soul! Of course, Dale has his hands full for the time being.

Thanks to all,

Morgan soon to own a Rene Herse to keep company with my Paramount and other Bill Boston: too bad my soul won't get to enjoy it.
